Abstract
ALSTROEMERY GRAY AND MOFO GRAY: SYMPTOMS, ETIOLOGY AND HANDLING Alstroemeria (Alstroemeria spp.) is a group of ornamental plants that co-vers about 90 species originating in South America. Its most common use is as cut flowers for arrange-ments, often used for events, for the variety of colors and resistance of its flowers. Two fungal diseases are very common in the crop: rust, caused by Uromyces alstroemeriae and gray mold, caused by Botrytis cinerea. For disease management a number of measures are recom-mended, always starting with the choice of the appropriate site and the use of pathogen-free propagation material and substrates.
