Abstract

In the twenty-first century, the computerization reaches all fields, including the field of health. Goal. This work aims to analyze the process of computerization of patient records and check its impact for professionals who work in a health institution file. The study adopted a qualitative and exploratory approach, interviewing 12 professionals of a medical file via a script with semistructured. The main results indicate that the professional medical study object file have not received training related to medical record computerization process, although they are professionals who have an insider's view regarding the information flows related to the patient's record and about its use in the everyday hospital care. It is understood that the professionals in the medical file are important informants on effective uses of patient records and should be integrated into the process of computerization as collaborators or potential professionals who can ensure the quality of patient records in electronic support.
