ABO Blood Groups Associated with Aggression Personality Trait

Abstract

The ABO blood groups and their genetic underpinnings have been studied for over one hundred years. Initially, the studies focused on gathering data on geographic distribution. Then correlations with illnesses and with personality traits were observed.Geographic data revealed prominent differences in ABO frequencies among populations thus allowing conclusions such as the origin of ABO B in Mongolian populations and the evolution of ABO gene from the ancestral gene ABO A to current world distributions of highest frequency of ABO O blood type with moderate frequency of ABO A and lower frequency of ABO B and lowest frequency of ABO AB types.
