Abstract

At present, the intracorporeal hepatic inflow occlusion method has been adopted by an increasing number of hepatic surgeons in laparoscopic hepatectomy because of its advantages; the procedure is simple, additional skin incision extracorporeally is not required and there is no interference with the handling of instruments during the operation. A relatively representative method for laparoscopic intracorporeal porta hepatis occlusion has been reported by Huang et al. in 2018. However, we have discovered some significant drawbacks in using Huang’s method; therefore, we have modified the method. Here, we would like to introduce the application of ‘Zhang’s modified method’ in laparoscopic hepatic inflow occlusion.
