Obviously, improving standards causes perpetual scholarly communication between authors and journal editors as well as publishers, accreditation and quality assurance, and research finding dissemination. The objective of this study is to assess the status of 359 scientific journals in Iran with regards to their commitment to publication standards. The findings depict journals’ strengths and weaknesses in relation to the editorial profile, instant references, layout quality, exclusive features, academic profile, and miscellaneous features.
