Abstract

The aim of this study was to show the decisive contribution of diaconal nuns in developing professional nursing at Bethesda Children's Hospital. Christian values and nursing are strongly interrelated at the bedside. Incorporating our values based on a solid foundation and up-to-date development are our hospital’s specialities with our high and unique professional standards respectively. While presenting the past and present nursing work, this study aims to show the continuity and evolution of the nursing profession.
