The history of Azambuja Street starts with the emergence of trade in wholesale clothing and also a history of entrepreneurship and strategic adaptation. The case’s educational objectives can be outlined as follows: (a) understand the impact in organizations generated by changes in the economy, (b) analyze the process of strategic adaptation in the case, (c) relate the context of strategic adaptation to a practical example of entrepreneurship. The case can be used in undergraduate and graduate Business Administration programs, to cover issues relating to management, strategy and entrepreneurship.
