Abstract

The Scientific Committee on Solar Terrestrial Physics (SCOSTEP) has recently launched its latest five-year scientific program, " Predictability of Variable Solar-Terrestrial Coupling (PRESTO)." This program is intended to last from 2020 through 2024. URSI is one of SCOSTEP's formal participating bodies, and provides a representative to the Bureau that governs SCOSTEP. Through this route, URSI was involved in the selection of the projects that formed the PRESTO program. The scientific goals of PRESTO are relevant to a wide range of URSI members, and in particular to those from Commissions E, F, G, H, and J.
