Abstract

Our in vitro research investigated the effects of three different corrosion periods on the tensile bond strength between amalgam and composite resin discs bonded with Scotchbond Multi Purpose adhesive. The discs were fabricated using a baquelite cilinder matrix. The exposed surface was treated with a 600 grit jig paper. The amalgam discs were bonded to composite resin discs at three different periods of storage: Group 1, immediately after condensation; Group 2, after one week of storage in artificial saliva; Group 3, after one month of storage in artificial saliva.
