The data were obtained from the business records and surveys with their owners. The data were collected in 2017-2018, and a survey was conducted on 243 business owners using face-to-face interviews. Descriptive statistics, Factor Analysis, Kruskal-Wallis H Test, Correlation and Regression Analyses were used to evaluate the data. As a result, it has been determined that poplar wood-processing companies are small and medium-sized enterprises that create added value, provide em-ployment and generally operate as a workshop and the most important factors affecting job satisfaction of business owners are; (1) Autono-my, success and ethical values at work, (2) Employee’s competence at work, (3) Security needs and working conditions at work, (4) Respect-communication-independence, (5) Income level. Additionally, it has been determined that the total job satisfaction of the business owners varies according to some basic features.
