By enrolling in the field of schooling policies, it analyzes how social protection is dimensioned and intensified based on the logic of the school’s expanded social responsibility. Firstly, it places policymakers in a broader scope. Secondly, it deepens reflection about the Brazilian reality and offers some provocations. Methodologically, the article is based mainly on theoretical-political digressions from a critical perspective of analysis.
