The Principal Component Analysis lead to discriminate four groups of watersheds, mainly explained by form and relief signatures. The hydrological response was mostly explained by the location of watersheds inside the river basin, relief and the climate dynamic. Abstract

The Tirgua river basin located in the Coastal Mountain Range – Venezuela, was analyzed combining both the hydrogeographic and the hydrological landscapes approaches.
