Jornalismo de serviço e biopoder: uma análise de conteúdo de TV

Abstract

This article presents results of research that relates journalism and biopower (power technique that seeks to produce economically active bodies). The work uses content analysis. Adopts Bem Estar program, by Rede Globo, as an object of study. The text says that journalism collaborates with biopower when it translates and circulates medical knowledge, which creates rules related to the body. This collaboration, apparently involuntary, occurs mainly in television programs on health and wellbeing, via service journalism.
