Planning and Implementing a Statewide Collaborative Gerontology Education Program for Religious Professionals in Rural Areas

Abstract

ABSTRACT This paper describes a gerontology continuing education program for clergy and lay leaders in West Virginia. Though spearheaded by the West Virginia University Gerontology Center, the project was a collaboration between university, social service and church agencies. Issues related to collaborative planning, both negative and positive, are discussed.
