Introduction and Suggestions for Use

Abstract

Summary The need for the training of clergy in gerontology is explored. The history of efforts in this field is developed. Against this background the Gerontology in Theological Education (GITE) project is described. Some implications and suggestions for use in seminaries covers the two parts of the report.
