Abstract:Contrairement aux catégories critiques de transition, de passage et de négociation des différences, appliquées par la critique au texte fictionnel de la diaspora, l'oeuvre de Fouad Laroui témoigne d'une configuration insolite des seuils infranchissables pour le Sujet. C'est la figure de l'intermonde qui maintient celui-ci à distance des territoires et des histoires auxquels il tente ou est forcé de s'identifier. Cela ressort à travers deux modalités touchant l'être du Sujet à savoir sa paratopie et son incongruence, et ce par rapport aux situations et contextes dans lesquels il est à chaque fois pris. Le Sujet de Laroui vacille au final entre non-appartenance et auto-exclusion, entre marginalité fondatrice et éveil constant à la différence.Abstract:In lieu of the critical categories of transition, passage, and negotiation of differences, applied by critics to diasporic fiction, Fouad Laroui's works testify to an unusual configuration of lines and borders that the Subject cannot cross over. It is the figure of the intermonde that keeps him away from the territories and narrations to which he tries or is forced to belong. This fact emerges through two modalities affecting the being of the Subject, namely his paratopia and his incongruence with respect to the situations and contexts in which he finds himself caught. Laroui's Subject ultimately teeters between non-belonging and self-exclusion, between a foundational marginality and a constant awakening to his difference.
