Abstract

Canadian Health and Welfare Minister Marc Lalonde announced major family planning changes in federal policy at a conference of leaders of major women's organizations. Matching funds are to be made available to the provinces for the universal promotion of family planning information at no cost to the public, and the provinces will be pressed to improve their abortion services. The 1st federal attempt to promote family planning is to be a pamphlet mailed to those receiving family allowance checks.
