Abstract
Objective. The objective of the study was to identify the relationship between Burnout Syndrome and Selfefficacy in cabin crew members in Lima. Method. Using an intentional probabilistic sampling, 157 participants between 25 and 60 years of age were evaluated in the city of Lima The Maslach-General Burnout Inventory and the General Self-Efficacy Scale were applied. Results. A positive and significant correlation was found between self-efficacy and professional efficacy (rs = 0.43, p < 0.010). While between self-efficacy and estrangement a negative and significant relationship was obtained (rs = -0.32, p < 0.010). Likewise, a negative relationship was found between the years of experience and the years working in the current company with professional efficiency and self-efficacy, and a positive relationship with estrangement. Conclusion. It is concluded that cabin crew members perceive an adequate capacity to perform their functions, which are diminished when exposed to working conditions that lead to Burnout Syndrome.
