Abstract
In the first session of this group, the eight Supporting Papers were discussed. The group then started with a discussion of role-playing as described by Lagercrantz below. After the other presentations the members decided to split up into two subgroups, to deal with: (a) the methods and aids in teaching interpersonal relationships; and (b) the psychology of learning. Subgroup (a) discussed : role-playing, clinical interviewing, simulation, recording and training of teachers. Some general conclusions were noted : (i) a medical approach is important: the student has to learn not to miss the medical facts; and (ii) the social approach should not be overestimated.
