The interaction between Epstein–Barr virus and multiple sclerosis genetic risk loci: insights into disease pathogenesis and therapeutic opportunities

Abstract

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic neurodegenerative autoimmune disease, characterised by the demyelination of neurons in the central nervous system.
