Abstract
A new genus and species of Prophalangopsidae, Hylophalangopsis chinensis gen. and sp. nov., is described here on the basis of one well-preserved complete fore wing from the Paleocene of Northern Tibet. The differences between this species and other described species, its systematic position, and its evolutionary significance are discussed.
