Self-Selection of Tat Cards: A Technique for Assessing Test-Resistant Children

Abstract

Summary The self-selection of TAT cards as a technique for facilitating the diagnostic testing of certain test-resistant children is presented. Two case illustrations are included to highlight the marked behavioral shifts following the introduction of this method. Possible explanations for the observed change in behavior are discussed, as are advantages and disadvantages in the use of this departure from the standard TAT administration.
