The kDNA was isolated from lysed cells of trypanosomes grown in culture by differential centrifugation combined with chloroform-isoamyl alcohol extraction. Electron microscopy of spread DNA networks revealed the existence of two kinds of mutually interlocked circular molecules. Abstract
