Abstract

Objectives

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of rapid palatal expansion (RPE) on the electrical activity of the masticator muscles (masseter and anterior temporalis) by means of electromyography and to report the case of a young patient who underwent electromyography before and after RPE activation.

Materials and methods
