We use the Netherlands as a case study to explore some of these mechanisms. Here, we discuss how a focus on cultural deficiency and the denial of racism allows the bearers of inequality and inequity to be blamed for their own disenfranchisement. Abstract
Despite notions of colour-blindness and denials of widespread systemic racism, anti-Black racism remains inherent in the political, economic, educational and healthcare systems in Europe.
