Documentation of affiliated bodies, institutes and specialized agencies: Reference, statistical and legal materials

Abstract

This lecture deals with the following members of the UN family: affiliated bodies, institutes and specialized agencies. It includes some valuable suggestions for obtaining the often hard-to-get literature produced by these organizations. In addition to a discussion of the main reference sources for UN material, there is an extensive listing of statistical materials produced by the UN in various subject areas. The last section describes the major legal reference works generated by the UN system.
