The June 1977 edition of the SuDocs' <em>Publications Reference File (PRF)</em> was surveyed to determined (1) to what extent titles in this file with pre-1976 imprints which are available from the SuDocs were also cited in OCLC, (2) whether certain elements of their bibliographic description were included in those citations, and (3) what the source of that cataloging was. A description of the <em>PRF</em> and a sampling methodology for surveying a microfiche file are also presented.
