User-constructed legal information systems: subscription to and use of legal information services from the perspective of the end user

Abstract

From the point of view of the user, all services offered on the market are potential parts of the user's own information system. By subscription or purchase, the user patches together a unique information system. This paper discusses availability factors in respect to such systems (Section 2); the cost of using such systems (Section 3); the active and passive use of such systems, especially in respect to functional efficiency (Section 4); and change to computerized systems (Section 5).
