Abstract

From measurements of the faradaic impedance ot an electrochemical reaction with sinusoidal current it is possible to determine the partial processes of this reaction and to calculate the different kinetic parameters. The processes considered are: diffusion; charge transfer; adsorption of the reacting species. The calculation can be adapted to the determination of the double-layer capacity of an electrode in presence of a reaction controlled by diffusion and charge transfer.
