Basic Geology and Chemistry of Borate

Abstract

Few commercially important borate mineral deposits are known, and their genesis is associated with boron transport to the earth's surface in geothermal waters associated with volcanic activity. The chemistry and behavior of boron in earth geological processes important to the genesis of these commercial deposits are reviewed.
