Abstract

ABSTRACT Highlighting the importance of telling the untold and unacknowledged stories of Black/Brown-bodied people for mental/spiritual healing, the article offers reflections on portions of the author's life experience as a Black-bodied female. The assertion is that cultural selfknowledge must be recovered and made foundational to the development, implementation and replication of interventions that will adequately address the collective needs of Black people amid a racist society.
