However, this created challenges concerning the transparency and economy of expression in writing. The following paper presents a study that examined students' writing skills for professional purposes. The subject of the analysis were the results of a writing tasks given to students at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland, related to an authentic workplace situation. In order to assess the level of preparation for the requirements of the current labour market based on the knowledge acquired during attendance of university courses, students were asked to solve a written task. Abstract

Abstract: As a result of the emergence of new forms of work in the professional environment, which have become established as a result of internationalisation, globalisation and specialisation, writing is becomming an important tool for the acquisition, restructuring and exchange of content-related information or new concepts among employees. However, this created challenges concerning the transparency and economy of expression in writing. The following paper presents a study that examined students' writing skills for professional purposes.
