Systematic Preoperative Complementary Tests in Elective Minor and Medium Pediatric Surgery: Is it Time to Revalue?

Abstract

This is an observational prospective single-center study, conducted during four months (January-April 2018) in the operating unit of the pediatric surgery department in Fattouma Bourguiba Hospital, Monastir. It is a first phase evaluation of professional practices. During this phase no training was done about the prescription of preoperative tests (neither for the surgeons nor the anesthetist doctors).
