Abstract

Do schools take advantage of the local environment possibilities to teach the cultural heritage? This investigation constitutes a study about the promotion that educational centers carry out relating to the local cultural heritage through folklore. In this way, it will look into the knowledge that teachers and students have about this topic, as well as the presence in the syllabus. In addition, it will analyze the cooperation between cultural institutions and schools for the promotion of local folklore. Following a non-experimental research method, in which teachers and students from different schools have participated, just as representatives of cultural associations.
