Abstract

Las primeras décadas del siglo XIX fueron un periodo de profundas transformaciones que modificaron para siempre el dominio español de Filipinas. Este artículo aborda el periodo del Trienio Liberal, en el cual se implementó la Constitución de Cádiz en las islas. Este hecho desencadenó múltiples conflictos políticos y sociales que se analizan en el presente trabajo. Para ello se emplea diversa documentación administrativa, política y judicial procedente del Archivo General de Indias, el Archivo Histórico Nacional (España) y la Biblioteca Nacional de España, entre otros.
