Abstract
Although the writing occasionally feels a little repetitive, the meticulous research and its accessible style make this book appealing to both scholars and anyone else interested in Eleanor Roosevelt, American political history and Jewish studies. It adds to the story we have of the most influential First Lady and gives us another lens through which to view the history of the Arab-Israeli conflict. Above all, it reminds us that we must actively join efforts to give refuge when it is needed.
