Migrantes irregulares en América Latina: el caso colombiano

espanolColombia no ha sido receptora de un gran numero de migrantes; por el contrario, ha tenido mas a ser emisora de migrantes dado su conflicto interno. Lo que se ha visto en los ultimos anos es un cambio de esta situacion, pues al dia de hoy Colombia es un pais de paso para cientos de personas que buscan llegar desde distintos lugares del mundo hacia Norteamerica. Ante esta situacion, Colombia no tiene una politica migratoria que permita atender a la gran cantidad de personas que entran a diario, dejando en evidencia las tensiones que se generan alrededor de los derechos otorgados a los colombianos y a aquellos no nacidos en Colombia. Asi, la pregunta que guia el presente trabajo es como los medios de comunicacion han representado a los inmigrantes que llegan a Colombia de manera irregular, durante el periodo correspondiente al gobierno de Juan Manuel Santos (2010 – 2017). Para responder, he llevado a cabo una revision de prensa de los principales periodicos del pais y la region -El Pais, El Espectador y El Tiempo-, con el proposito de identificar el lenguaje empleado en estos y las formas en las cuales se narra el accionar del Estado a los ciudadanos. EnglishColombia has not been a recipient of a large number of migrants; on the contrary, it has tended more to be a transmitter of migrants given its internal conflict. What has been evident in recent years is a change in this situation, Colombia is a country of passage for hundreds of people seeking to reach from different parts of the world to North America. Due to this situation, the country does not have an immigration policy that allows it to deal with the large number of people who enter daily, leaving in evidence the tensions that are generated around the rights granted to Colombians and those not born in Colombia. Thus, the question that guides this work is how the media have represented immigrants who arrive in Colombia irregularly, during the period corresponding to the government of Juan Manuel Santos (2010 - 2017). For this a press review of the main newspapers of the country has been carried out -El Pais, El Espectador and El Tiempo-, with the purpose of identifying the language used in these and the ways in which it is narrated the action of the State to the citizens
