Abstract

The Centre for emergency assistance to children with injuries to the spine and spinal cord was established on the premises of the spine pathology and neurosurgery department of the Turner Research Institute for Children’s Orthopedics which provides specialized and high-tech care to children with disorders of the spinal column and cord. Organizational and methodological activity of the Centre, and the algorithm for providing advisory and surgical assistance by the Centre’s specialists in the city of St. Petersburg are presented.
