A. M. Ranawana’s new book is an exciting and important summation of the theological and ethical resources that have been created over the past 50 years that have sought to help us to rethink our relationship to the earth. Until quite recently there has been a critical disjunction between ecological theologies emerging from the technological “Global North” and Contextual theologies of liberation that have emerged from the so called “Global South”.
