Abstract

This study was designed to determine the impact of Buttermilk on blood total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), very low density lipoprotein cholesterol (VLDL-C) and the efficacy of liver enzymes ALT, AST and ALP, healthy and hypercholesterol experimental Sprague-Dawley rats were used as a model to the hypercholesterolemic group (41.23) IU /L. it was concluded that Buttermilk played a positive role to improve lipid profile in hypercholesterol rats.
