Abstract

Background The exhibition Cai Guoqiang: Odyssey and Homecoming opened at the Pudong Art Museum (MAP) in Shanghai on July 8, 2021. Guoqiang Cai is a Chinese artist and designer known for his designs that use gunpowder blasting to explore society, culture, and nature. He has done art projects in 218 cities in 50 countries around the world. On the exhibition wall on the third floor of the Pudong Art Museum, there is a huge world map and a photo wall that records his artistic footprint.
