Abstract

As a final note, I would like to add that as a Brazilian, I would have personally liked to see a chapter on narratives dealing with the Brazilian military dictatorship (1964–1985), such as Maria Pilla’s Volto Semana que Vem (2015) or Maria Lúcia Resende Garcia’s Geração 60: Geração Esperança (2003). Understandably it is difficult to cover all contexts in one volume, but works focused on Latin America tend to overlook Brazil, and this is unfortunately the case here.
