espanolEste articulo se inicia con un acercamiento a la historiografia sobre la prensa asturiana de las primeras decadas del siglo XX, para a continuacion detenerse en los principales diarios, su evolucion y los distintos factores que condicionan su desarrollo, desde la estructura empresarial hasta la maquinaria empleada para alcanzar unas tiradas que no dejan de crecer durante esta epoca. Todo parece indicar que se produce una evolucion acelerada, si bien ello no deberia hacernos asumir un analisis univoco de fenomenos muy complejos EnglishThis article begins with an approach to the historiography on the Asturian press of the first decades of the 20th century, and then stops on the main newspapers, their evolution and the different factors that condition their development, from the business structure to the machinery used to achieve runs that do not stop growing during this time. The use of archival sources and the press itself is essential to offer a coherent global vision, useful for using the press as a historical source and to advance its analysis. Everything seems to indicate that an accelerated evolution is taking place, although this should not make us assume a univocal analysis of extremely complex phenomena
