Abstract

España fue invitada de honor en la celebración del centenario de la independencia de Perú. La propuesta trata la respuesta distante de la antigua metrópoli, analizando el juego de la diplomacia y la actuación de la misión extraordinaria que representó al rey. Se examina el discurso hispanista desplegado por las autoridades peruanas y españolas en los actos oficiales y se incide en la participación de la colonia española.
