Self-Esteem Pada Siswa SMP Korban Bullying

Abstract

This research study aims to identify self-esteem level of students.The participant consist of ten students of victims of bullying at State Junior High School of Warungkondang-Cianjur. Participants were asked to complete Personal Information Form to know about their grade level and gender. They were also requested to complete Self- Esteem Survey (SES) from Rosenberg which is consist of ten items covers three aspects, namely self-worth, attitude, and satisfaction. Research result indicated that for most items in Self-Esteem Survey, participants showed positive level of self-esteem but they wished more self-respect from others. The result for students’ self-esteem level based on grade level indicated that there was insignificant difference of self-esteem level between students of grade VII, VIII and IX. Based on gender, the results indicated that there was no significant difference of self-esteem level between male and female students.
