OS DIFERENTES DISCURSOS E DISPUTAS DA/NA FESTA DE 16 DE JULHO NA CIDADE DE BORDA DA MATA, SUL DE MINAS GERAIS

Abstract

This article aims to reflect on the expansion and reorganization of the party on the 16th of July in the city of Borda da Mata, south of Minas, problematizing the different speeches and disputes of / at the party, which contains two parts, one dedicated to the patron saint of municipality, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and the other to its administrative political emancipation, which constitutes one of the most expected cultural practices by the social subjects who reside in or visit the city. Methodologically we work with oral narratives, which make it possible to investigate the memories of social subjects, who participate in the parties in their different spheres, crossing with other historical sources such as legislative texts, ecclesiastical documents, local press and memorial works.
