El Distrito de Bustantigo (Allande), ejemplo de minería romana del oro en el suroccidente de Asturias = The Bustantigo District (Allande), Example of Roman Gold Mining in the Southwest of Asturias

Abstract

La red viaria de los primeros siglos de nuestra era explica en el Suroccidente de Asturias el proceso de asimilacion de la organizacion romana. En torno a esta via, que transitaba junto al Arroyo del Oro en las proximidades de Bustantigo en el concejo de Allande, giraria el desarrollo de los nucleos de habitat y el aprovechamiento de los recursos auriferos. La base economica se convierte en el mejor elemento para comprender el sentido de la romanizacion de esta region asturiana. Abstract The road system of the first centuries of our age explain in itself, and within the South-Western area of Asturias, the process of assimilation of Roman organization. The development of settlements and exploitation of golden deposits will be carried our along the road what belong the «Arroyo del Oro» of Bustantigo in Allande. The economic basis becomes the main clue to understand the process of romanization of this Asturian region.
