Finalmente, se reflexiona sobre el rol que tuvo la comunidad en la definicion de un museo cuyos destinatarios principales son ellos mismos. EnglishThis article is about the construction of a museum in a small town located in the highlands of Jujuy Province (Argentina), using a participatory work methodology in which both researchers and the general community took part. From the description of this experience, we seek to show architecture and its associated practices as instances of collective learning that enable the (re)construction of memories and social meanings, which in turn give the architecture itself meaning, in this case that of the museum. The article details the tasks performed and constructive stages, as well as the assembly of the museographic exhibition, its guide notes and the activities that are carried out there.
