Abstract
The article explores the question of how labour law provisions are enforced in Germany. First, the central role of the labour courts is examined. In doing so, it not only looks at the constitutional foundations, but also at the special features of proceedings before the labour courts. Then the role of works councils in enforcing labour law is highlighted.
