Abstract

The other is entitled ‘The Philosophers and the National Socialist Terror’ (pp. 189-191) and gives information on the impact of the Third Reich on the lives of some of the figures mentioned in the book. Overall, this is an intriguing study that develops a bold argument about the trajectory of German philosophy since the late nineteenth century. It deserves to be read by anyone interested in the development of modern Germany. Joachim Whaley
